Arrival (2016)

Things quickly turn sour when the aliens send a message some nations interpret as hostile.  While Banks believes the aliens don’t mean humans any harm, several powerful entities disagree.

Worldwide panic begins.  Meanwhile, Banks learns the aliens’ language is far more incredible than most humans will ever understand.

The Alien Franchise (1979-Present)

Out of all the alien or outer space movies out there, few stack up to the Alien franchise. This franchise is even rivaling the lifetime of many popular sci-fi animes!

While not every movie is warmly received by critics, fans can’t get enough of Ellen Ripley and the alien race she keeps encountering.

The first film’s success spawned endless sequels, prequels, a web series, and even a high school play with huge accolades from Sigourney Weaver and Ridley Scott themselves.

These films effortlessly combine the gore and terror of a hostile extraterrestrial invasion with the typical challenges of deep space travel—most famously, the fact that in space, no one can hear you scream.

Predator (1987)

Another Life (2019- )

Gravity (2013)

Dr. Ryan Stone, played by Sandra Bullock, is a medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski, played by George Clooney, in command of his last flight before retiring.

But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone – tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.

Battle L.A. (2011)

The earth is suddenly being invaded by space aliens that have landed off the shore of LA, and who begin killing everybody along the beach.

The military is ordered into action. Marine Staff Sergeant Nantz, played by Aaron Eckhart, who was about to retire, is reassigned to a new platoon. The platoon, flown by chopper to the forward operating base at Santa Monica Airport, is being led by a new 2nd Lt. Martinez, played by Ramon Rodriguez.

They are sent on a mission to rescue some civilians who are trapped at the police station within alien territory. They only have 3 hours to complete their mission and get out before the Air Force bombs that zone.
